Can all hair colours and parts of the body be treated?
Epilight's unique design offers flexibility to provide customised treatment, depending on hair colour, texture and location on the body. Epilight can remove all hair colours except grey, from all parts of the body including the chin, upper lip, cheeks, legs, arms, underarms and back - as well as sensitive areas like the ears, nose, chest and bikini line.
What is Epilight treatment like?
When the Epilight pulse of light is delivered there may be a mild sting or a pinch similar to the snap of a rubber band. No local anaesthesia or pain medication is required.
How many treatments are required?
This varies depending upon the hair colour and skin colour. Several treatments will be needed to cover the hair growth cycle, with each session for example - when treating the whole face - lasting from 10-30 minutes.
Are there any side effects?
Short-term side effects may include slight reddening of the skin or local swelling which lasts a few days. In very rare instances there may be some blistering.
How does Epilight compare with traditional hair removal methods?
Shaving, waxing and depilatory creams are all temporary methods that must be repeated on a regular basis. Hair removal with Epilight offers a permanent situation.
How is Epilight different from laser hair removal?
Epilight uses an innovative patented technology that allows your operator to customise treatment specifically for your hair colour, texture and body location. This flexible approach to treatment cannot be achieved with any laser or non-invasive method currently available.
